Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Our Commitment

At Stems & Tales, we take pride in the freshness and quality of every bouquet, cake, and gift we deliver. Since our products are perishable and handcrafted to order, our refund policy is designed to be fair to both our customers and our artisans.

2. Order Cancellation

2.1 Cancellation by Customer

  • Before preparation begins: You may cancel your order for a full refund. Go to My Orders and click "Request Cancellation."
  • After preparation has started: Cancellation requests are subject to review. A partial refund (up to 50%) may be issued depending on the stage of preparation.
  • After dispatch: Orders that have been dispatched for delivery cannot be cancelled.

2.2 Cancellation by Stems & Tales

In rare cases, we may cancel your order due to:

  • Unavailability of specific flowers or ingredients.
  • Delivery address outside our serviceable area.
  • Natural disasters, extreme weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

In such cases, you will receive a full refund and be notified immediately.

3. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund or replacement in the following situations:

Order not delivered within promised window Partial or full refund (case-by-case)
Missing items from the order Refund for missing item or redelivery
Change of mind after delivery No refund (perishable products)
Recipient not available / refused delivery No refund (delivery was attempted)

4. How to Request a Refund

  1. Go to My Orders and find the relevant order.
  2. Take a photo of the issue (damaged product, wrong item, etc.).
  3. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and photo proof via:

5. Refund Processing

  • Online payments: Refund will be credited to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD): Refund will be processed via bank transfer. You'll be asked to provide your bank account or UPI details.
  • Store credit: In some cases, we may offer store credit for future orders instead of a monetary refund, with your consent.

6. Non-Refundable Scenarios

  • Slight natural variations in flower colour, size, or arrangement — these are inherent to fresh, handmade products.
  • Orders where the recipient was not available and no alternative arrangements were communicated.
  • Refund requests made after 24 hours of delivery.
  • Promotional or discounted items marked as "final sale."

7. Delivery Guarantee

We send a preparation photo before dispatch and a delivery confirmation upon completion. If your order is not delivered within the selected time slot and you weren't notified of a delay, you are entitled to a full refund.
